Bac Ha market is the bigest ethnic market in the Northern Part of Vietnam. It often takes place on Sunday of weekly. This highland culture market is a living museum of cultural and community activities, where still contains plenty of ethnic culture with unique customs and regional traditions.

This trip offers you an opportunity to explore the area by Motorbike, which makes the trip much more challenging and interesting. On this trip you will visit several villages. You will visit Bac Ha Market, the most famous and colorful market of the area. Here you will meet Flower H’mong, Black Dao, Phu La, Nung and Tay minorities. Although there were several ethnics at the market, the Flower Hmong women stand apart with their vibrant dress. They wear a number of skirts and underskirts all made with colorful fabric and some batiks. They are master of embroidery , often with flower motifs and their heads are covered with elaborately shaped and balanced scarf…

Day 1 – On Sunday:

Sapa – Lao Cai – Bac Ha Market

Day2:

Bac Ha – Si Ma Cai Town – Muong Khuong Town – Lao Cai – Sapa .

Day 1: Sapa - Lao Cai - Bac Ha Market

On Sunday morning our guide will meet you at 07:00 a.m at the Reception of your hotel for a short briefing and check all the condition of the Motorbikes. Then start your journey from the hotel by Motorbike and head through Sapa Town then take the road to Lao Cai before heading further east towards Bac Ha. On the way you will see many ethnic minority tribes going to the market from the villages to sell or buy goods. The Flower H’mong minority is the most common here, their colorful dress make it the most beautiful sight Bac Ha is the most popular and busiest market in the northern province where a vast variety of goods are traded including livestock such as cows, pigs, buffalos, and horses and daily items such as corn wine, vegetables and household goods. We will spend the whole morning in Bac Ha market untill lunch time. You will have lunch in the restaurant or at the Maket with local food. In the afternoon, you can take an easy drive to Ban Pho village the most famous village in Bac Ha. On the way the guide will tell you some stories about Flower H’mong people are living here and show you how they make the Corn Wine (one of the typical wine in the mountainous area). You have an opportunity to see the plum garden. In Spring Bac Ha valley covered in a carpet of white plum blossoms. That why the region called the White Plateau because it's home to more than 1,000ha of plum trees.

Day2: Bac Ha - Si Ma Cai Town - Muong Khuong Town - Lao Cai - Sapa

In the moring you will check all the condition of the Motorbikes. Then start your journey from the hotel (Homestay) by Motorbike and head through Bac Ha Town then take the road to Lung Phinh village before heading further north towards Si Ma Cai town. on the way you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and lots of traditional houses with baked earth tiled roofs. On the way you will meet several type of minorities. It is easy to realize the H’mong and Zao through their colorful dresses and head gears who are the massive at the market. The Ha Nhi, Tu Zi, Tu Lao peoples in smaller numbers and wear unique traditional costumes which are not so colorful but beautiful. Arrive Muong Khuong town at the mid-day: You will sit down for a simple Lunch in one of the common restaurant. After lunch you will drive back to Lao Cai city(or Sapa town). The road was recently upgraded to ensure smooth drive and enjoy beautiful scenery of the lush mountainous region along the way with some stops for nature wanders and photos. Arrive Lao Cai city (or Sapa town) in late afternoon. End of the trip.
