The ride

Fansipan is the highest peak in Vietnam and the whole of Indochina, and this ride takes you to the mountain’s doorstep. You follow forest roads and ridgelines toward the base of the summit, passing through cloud forest and small settlements with the peak rising above you.

The ride is all about altitude and atmosphere. You climb steadily out of Sapa, the air cools, and the views open up across the Hoang Lien Son range. It is a shorter, moderate day ride that feels like a proper mountain adventure.

What to expect

Cooler temperatures, forest roads, and views of the famous summit cable car from below. Some sections are steep and winding.
